Jayne Manley, Devon Link-Up

It was a recommendation from another client that led me to a request from a local charity, Devon Link-Up, requesting bespoke training for a member of staff on the SAGE Line 50 Accounts package.

Devon Link-Up is a charity organisation based in East Devon and provides independent social, educational, advocacy and befriending services to the learning disabled community.

At our initial meeting I determined the individual needs and tasks that were expected to be completed.  This covered basic data input, bank reconciliation, department & nominal code analysis, journals, producing quarterly Management Accounts and linking the SAGE Payroll with the SAGE Accounts.

This bespoke training gave the charity the opportunity to enable the employee to get the best out of the software package to suit the needs of the organisation.  This addressed the issues and tasks that is required by the organisation to work more efficiently and produce Management accounts for the Trustees.

During the process of the training there were several other elements that were finely tuned to bring greater efficiency and time saving on the already stretched resources.

Offering my services on a “flexible pay as you go” basis this gave the charity control over the expenditure.

Jayne Manley's Testimonial:
I have worked for the charity for 19 years and used excel for our accounting system. We joined forces with another charity that used Sage and had their own accounting department so I never got involved in using sage. After six months our Management Committee decided to split off from the other charity and move back to our local area and this is when I had to use Sage. Having had no training I think I was scared of using it and this is when Sue came to my rescue.

Sue went back to basics and introduced me to Sage slowly. She is very patient and knowledgeable and always delivers a report after each visit very promptly which I can refer to as and when needed. I have learnt a lot about Sage over a relatively short time and having one to one tuition was most important to me. Sue is always at the end of a phone if any problems arise. I can’t thank Sue enough for all her help.
